When asked where he stands on the congressional race in the 8th District, Pennsylvania senator Arlen Specter recently expressed his confidence in Republican Tom Manion:

Republican Tom Manion is a “very strong candidate” and “could very well win” his 8th District congressional race against Democratic incumbent Patrick Murphy.
